It was a spooky coincidence when Karan shared a video of his face mapped on that of Rishi Kapoor for his iconic song ‘Main Shayar Toh Nahi’ and the veteran actor passed away within days of the post. At the time, obviously no one had even an inkling that everyone’s beloved Rishi would pass away so soon. So, when Karan shared this clip, all he could think of was that he was very excited as he was featuring in his favourite actor’s song. He proudly proclaimed that he was a legit fan of face mapping and thanked filmmaker Sandeep Kamal for presenting the video to him. Now, even actor Riteish Deshmukh has shared a video of his face mapped in the iconic Marathi song ‘Shoor Amhi Sardar‘ and seems pretty impressed with the work done again by Sandeep Kamal.

The connection we have found here is filmmaker Sandeep Kamal who seems to have gifted these videos to both Karan as well as Riteish and we must say it is indeed some mind blowing editing work there. While sharing the video, Riteish wrote the caption, “Face Mapping ……. शूर आम्ही सरदार आम्हाला काय कुणाची भीती @2ouringsandy 👌🏽👌🏽.”

Speaking about the song, ‘Shoor Amhi Sardar’ was a very popular track back in the 60’s. It was from the 1963 film ‘Maratha Tituka Melawava’ which was based on the times during the rule of Shivaji Maharaj. It was famous for its lyrics by renowned Marathi writer and poetess Shanta Shelke. It was sung by Pt Hridaynath Mangeshkar and had become a patriotic song during the post independence times.

Meanwhile, Riteish will be soon working on his upcoming Marathi venture ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji’ once the lockdown is lifted. So, this seems to be the apt song for Riteish’s face to be mapped on, given that he will be soon playing the character of Shivaji Maharaj.
