A day after Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for coronavirus, Bollywood actor Amit Sadh underwent a test for COVID-19 as a precautionary measure and is now happy to say, “I am negative.”

Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor shared the update with all his fans and well-wishers and thanked everyone for their prayers and concern. The actor also sent out his thoughts and prayers to everyone currently battling the virus.

“Thank you for your prayers and concerns. This is the only time I say happily I am negative. To all people battling this, my prayers and thoughts continue. Love you. Togetherness is the only strength!” he tweeted.

Abhishek and father Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday evening revealed on social media that they tested positive for COVID-19 and were admitted to a city hospital in Mumbai. Besides sharing that they and their family are currently being treated for the virus, the stars also encouraged those in close proximity with them to get tested.

Amit and Abhishek were spotted at the recording studios these past weeks, dubbing for their project. Although reports claim that the two were never in the studio at the same time, as a precautionary measure, Sadh decided to get the test done.

On Sunday, the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor assured his fans, who have been showing great concern for his health, that he is feeling “perfectly fine.”

“Thank you, everyone, for all your concern and wishes. I am feeling perfectly fine. However, I will get a precautionary COVID-19 test done today. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr Bachchan, Abhishek and family. Hoping for their speedy recovery,” the actor tweeted.

As for the latest development, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is reported to be in a “stable” condition with “mild symptoms” after testing positive for coronavirus on Saturday.

Amitabh has been admitted to the isolation unit at the hospital. Meanwhile, Aishwarya and daughter Aaradhya, who also tested positive, are quarantining at their Mumbai home.
