Bollywood lost two of its most prized actors this week, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor. While Irrfan passed away at the age of 53 on Wednesday, Rishi Kapoor breathed his last at 67 on Thirsday– mourning the loss of both the actors, Big B penned a note, “The death of an elder celebrity vs death of a younger .. the grief of the latter more intense than that of the former .. why ..? The younger more tragic Why the loss of the young seems more tragic than that of the older .. Because you lament the loss of opportunity in the latter .. unrealised possibilities.”

Amitabh Bachchan had shared the frame with both the actor. From ‘Naseeb’ to ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ to ‘102 Not Out’ – Big B and Rishi Kapoor had worked in several films, while Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were co-stars in Shoojit Sircar directed ‘Piku’.

Devastated after Rishi Kapoor passed away, Big B had shared on Twitter, “He’s GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !” However the actor later deleted the post and penned a moving memoriam on his blog, “I never visited him in Hospital .. I never wanted to see distress on his smiling cherubic face. But I am certain .. when he went , he must have gone with a gentle smile.”
