Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has kept his fans guessing about his next project. However, his production company has been churning out some very interesting movies both in theatres and on the digital platform.
According to a report in a news portal, SRK’s production house has been planning a film on the Muzaffarpur shelter mass abuse. Reports are rife that Arjun Kapoor has been approached for the movie. The actor will reportedly be playing the lead role of a cop investigating the case. The report added that it is a well-written and well fleshed out part and SRK’s team reportedly feels that Arjun is apt for the role.

This will be the first project where Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Kapoor will be seen collaborating. The movie will reportedly be directed by Pulkit, who earlier made the 2017 thriller ‘Maroon’.

This film is based on a shocking case where instances of rape were reported from a shelter home in Muzzafarpur, Bihar, that was run by an NGO called ‘Sewa Sankalp Evam Vikas Samiti’. Reportedly, out of the 42 inmates living at the shelter, 34 of them were sexually abused. The head of this NGO, Brajesh Thakur, was declared prime accused. In February 2020, the Delhi High Court sentenced him to rigorous life imprisonment.

On the work front, Arjun will next be seen in an untitled next co-starring Rakul Preet Singh.
