The singer, known for her trademark baggy clothes style, made jaws drop this week when she launched her new fashion spread. The photos saw the 19-year-old ditching her oversized high fashion tees and baggy pants for corsets, stockings and suspenders.
According to the pop star, it was her idea to take on this drastic transformation for the fashion photo shoot. “I love these pictures and I loved doing this shoot,” she captioned one post of a photo from the inside of the magazine on Instagram.
“Do whatever you want whenever you want. F**k everything else.”
Eilish’s post featuring the magazine cover has reportedly broken records to become the fastest post to hit 1 million likes on the platform. The star hit the mark in just five minutes, it was reported. The picture is currently nearing the 16 million likes mark.
This is not the first time that Billie is entering her name into the record books. Eilish’s blonde hair photo, which has about 22.8 million likes, is the third most-liked photo on the social media site.
Billie now occupies the 3rd, 4th, 8th, 13th, 17th and 18th spots on the list of top 20 most liked photos of all time on Instagram.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Eilish released the third single from her upcoming album ‘Happier Than Ever’, titled ‘Your Power’. The track follows last year’s ‘My Future’ and ‘Therefore I Am’.
The teen star also became the youngest singer ever to lend her voice to the James Bond soundtrack. Eilish sang ‘No Time To Die’ that is the original soundtrack for the upcoming Bond film by the same name. The film that was originally set for a release in 2020, was delayed several times owing to the covid-19 crisis in many parts of the world.
