A small prayer meet was held today at the Bandra residence of actor Rishi Kapoor, who passed away on April 30 after two years of battling Leukaemia. Given the lockdown and corona situation, the family ensured that only a few close family members attended the prayer meet.
Randhir Kapoor said, “Rasam pagri puja was held yesterday. His ashes were immersed today in Banganga, Mumbai, followed by a quiet prayer service with family at his home because of the virus.”
Along with wife Neetu and son Ranbir, the late actor’s daughter, Riddhima,was also present for the prayer meet. Riddhima, who couldn’t attend her father’s final rites owing to travel restrictions, reached Mumbai on Saturday evening after taking special permission to travel from Delhi by road.
