A photo doing the rounds on social media sees the mother and son duo sitting by a picture of Rishi, that was adorned with flowers. While Ranbir sat by his father’s photo in a kurta and a turban on his head, Neetu sat by his side in an all-white salwar suit.
The photo from the prayer service has since gone viral on social media with fans and well-wishers sharing the click.
Rishi succumbed to cancer on Thursday morning, April 30, after a two-year-long battle. His last rites were performed at around 4 pm in the city’s Chandanwadi crematorium with his sibling and close family members including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and even Alia Bhatt in attendance.
Daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who couldn’t be physically present for the last rites, bid her father her last goodbye via face time. Owing to the lockdown restrictions, Riddhima arrived in the city only late last night.
Since Rishi’s passing on Thursday, tributes of love have been pouring in from all quarters. Apart from the Bollywood film fraternity, several other Hollywood stars have also been joining in to mourn the actor’s demise.
