Richa Chadha filed a defamation suit against actor Payal Ghosh over “defamatory statements’’ made against her in an interview to a news channel. Now, the actress took to her social media handle to seek details about a complaint which she had filed before the National Commission for Women against Payal. Richa shared pictures of Payal posing with NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma on her Twitter and wrote “I still haven’t heard back from @NCWIndia reg my complaint (dated 22/9/20)filed against Ms.Ghosh, for falsely dragging my name in her case against a director. Basis your own tweets on the matter, I believe my complaint was filed BEFORE hers”.

The actress also shared a screenshot of the receipt of her complaint with NCW while stating that it is an opportunity for the organization to shut down the critics and biased rumours. Her tweet read, “Here’s my complaint no.- 2014110985954. PFA screenshot of the receipt from @NCWIndia. This is genuinely a great opportunity for #NCW to dispel rumours of bias and shut down critics once and for all. Had tweeted to you before as well @sharmarekha ma’am, hope you reply this time.”

Following that, the ‘Fukrey’ actress shared a copy of the Bombay High Court’s order with respect to her defamation suit against Payal Ghosh. She informed fans that the next hearing for settlement is on October 12, while thanking those who supported her in the very same tweet.
