Ranveer Singh has been giving fans a glimpse of his lockdown life, huddled at home with lady love Deepika Padukone. And this day last year, the actor was soaking the sun on a beach and had posted a sun-kissed selfie on social media. With a smoothie for company, the actor was living it up on a lazy day.
Ranveer was all set to entertain fans with sports drama ’83, which is directed by Kabir Khan. Set for release on April 10, the film was postponed due to the lockdown. Recent buzz suggested that OTT platforms are eager to purchase rights of the film but the director is keen to have a theatrical release. “‘83 is a film that has been envisioned and made to be experienced on the big screen and we are ready to wait for things to get normal and then release it in cinemas.”
The film will capture Indian cricket team’s historic win at the 1983 World Cup. While Ranveer essays the role of captain Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone plays the character of his onscreen wife Romi Dev.
